ePP authors the content to your specs, ready to be ingested into your system.
Storyboard, Script, and Spec Creation
Our client was contracted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide online learning modules for science teachers to help them advance in both content and best practice knowledge. This 97-page storyboard is one of many we wrote, specced, and scripted.
We were asked to perform a gap analysis on a science eText to determine where coverage was lacking and to spec digital learning objects for enrichment or additional practice. This storyboard is one of the many hundreds of learning objects we specced, which included a variety of images, interactivities, videos, animation, instruction, and assessment.
Our math team worked side-by-side with our client to develop interactive instructional content for elementary math. We created CCSS-aligned lessons with a high level of student engagement, starting with research deep dive and context brainstorming and moving through rounds of increasingly detailed outlines, storyboards, and scripts with character dialogue, such as this one.
Many of our clients have authoring processes that are separate from content development. Because we specialize in digital content, we are comfortable authoring specs and scripts such as these ourselves, which can provide a real advantage in budget and schedule.
As part of our work speccing content for ELA, we created scripts for interactivities. This is a deductive reasoning activity using the hotspots functionality.

We developed and authored test prep items for math grades K–12 for use both in print and digitally. This spreadsheet is the metadata spreadsheet we created as we wrote the items to enable ingestion into the platform.
Due to the nature of digital content, almost every project we do involves developing robust metadata. In this case, we authored Learnosity items and metadata such as Depth of Knowledge (DOK), difficulty level, content standard GUID, Standards for Mathematical Practice, grade level, tech-enhanced item type, and quiz number.
This project involved picking up or revising existing assessment items for a literature program and using the metadata fields to associate the items with a new program. This image illustrates the many different metadata fields required, including difficulty level, topic, and national and state standards.

Our client was moving all of their law textbook case studies and assessments to their digital platform, which ingested XML. This XML file is a sample of one of the many types of print content structures we reviewed, parsed, and reauthored in one of the predetermined XML DTDs.
This client was developing digital assessment items in Excel. We picked up, revised, and authored new assessment items and all associated metadata in this spreadsheet that ended up totalling more than 1 million active cells!
A major publisher contracted with ePP to repurpose legacy content for their new literature program. This spreadsheet is the course creation spreadsheet that we created to map the legacy content to a new framework and tag assessment to remediation assets.
Our clients know the breadth and depth of our digital authoring experience, and they often call upon us when they have unwieldy-to-most spreadsheets. This sample demonstrates our facility building spreadsheets that tag and correlate thousands of assets to various categories and levels of metadata.
We wrote full literary analyses with textual evidence for this client's supplementary literature product. Our writers developed the content as XML for direct ingestion into the client's tool.

We have many years of experience authoring practice items and formative and summative assessments in Learnosity for various disciplines. As a matter of fact, we are so experienced and trusted that we were selected to join Learnosity's Custom Content Creation partnership.
Our client had 5 business days to review a full ingestion of Grades K–5 literacy ebooks. We worked in their system to review and edit and/or comment on the text as we uncovered porting defects.
Our team made direct fixes in this client’s proprietary authoring platform while performing a character-by-character proofread of the ingested ebook content. We can work in authoring platforms, from those that are intuitive and user-friendly (like this one) to those that are more complex and unwieldy.
